I can't believe how little I knew about the Constitution! I have enjoyed the class and I am sorry it is over. I am thankful for the opportunity to take this class and would recommend this class to anyone.

Thank you so much for teaching this course! It has opened my eyes to many issues that I was ignorant of and has given me an idea of what kind of decisions our elected officials have to make. I now understand how important it is to elect good judges. This class has been a lot of fun.

Thank you Dr. Farris for the most inspiring class I've ever taken. This class in Constitutional Law has been the highlight of my senior year (I chose to do this class on top of my already packed schedule and I'm so glad). I feel more prepared to face the claims of an ignorant society against our constitutional foundation. You brought me very close to deciding to study law, but I'm sticking with my original plan to be an English Writing major. I'm sure this class will mold what I choose to write in the future.

I just would like to say "thanks" for creating such a great course. Because I am an NCFCA debater, I have tried to incorporate the Constitution into my debate rounds. You would not believe how much it has helped! I now can argue off of the constitutional facet of the case, instead of just the typical arguments. It has helped tremendously!

I wish to thank you for offering this course. I found the material interesting, understandable and many times entertaining. I would not hesitate to recommend this course to others and it is my great hope that it will still be offered ten years from now when my oldest child is ready for a course like this.

Thank you so much for teaching this course...it has been one of my favorites of the year! I really do feel like I am an "enlightened citizen" now, and I am anxious to do what I can to help the Supreme Court turn around. Thank you for taking the time and making the effort to invest in the lives of tomorrow's leaders!

Thank You, Dr. Farris, for such a wonderful class. I have enjoyed every moment—well, except the last few when I was behind. You have succeeded in changing at least one mind. I had almost made up my mind that I was going to leave the lawyer thing behind; I didn't want to be stressed out the rest of my life. But now I think I would be more stressed out sitting around and not doing something about it. I'm really going to miss the class and the chats. Thank you again for such a wonderful opportunity, and most of all, for your time.

Most importantly I have learned to see the value of both perspectives with the goal of being able to persuasively bring both parties to see the truth. This has broadened my thinking and also helped me in common every day situations as well.

I would like to thank you for all of the work that was put in to this course, for the time that was taken in answering my questions individually, and the individual attention that was given to the input and concerns of each one of us students.
I think what I appreciated most about this class was that we did not evaluate only the individual cases that we studied. To us was given the basis for interpreting the Constitution in a broad sense. The knowledge that was given us in this course is a foundation for evaluating future decisions, and basing that evaluation on correct Constitutional interpretation. Thank you, Mr. Farris, for the effort you put into sharing this class with us, and also for the time that you spent answering our questions in the chat room.
I must say, as well, that this class was great fun. Not only did we learn excellent material, it was enjoyable as well! Thank you all so much, and may God bless you as you continue to share ConLaw with other students.

. . . [T]his class has done a lot to prepare me for college and the “outside” world. First, it has greatly helped to improve my thinking skills in general. Because of its nature, the reading, though not discouraging, demands full attention to detail. Also, ConLaw has made me think very carefully about a lot of different issues that I might not have addressed had I not taken the course. . . . [and] given me a plot of the common ground necessary for an effective argument. Though I still have much to learn, I now feel that I have a . . . starting point from which to make a solid case for Biblical morality in government.

I would say that because of this course, I now have a foundation for understanding not only American Constitutional law, but also the Constitutional law of other cultures and heritages. Great course!

The course helped me understand, even though I’m not interested in becoming a lawyer, more about my rights and what law actually says, not what I thought it says. It taught me how to form my thoughts and ideas better, to identify legal concepts and terms, and to understand Supreme Court cases.
It’s worth it 100 percent. Very beneficial, whether you are considering becoming an attorney or not.

Constitutional Law gave me a deeper understanding of why this country was founded. Going through the course, studying cases, finding what the Constitution really says, and searching for where the Bible stands on current issues taught me principles and insights which I will use the rest of my life.
Go for it! It takes some time, but it’s worth it. You learn so much that you can use for the rest of your life.

My favorite part was the chat sessions with Michael Farris. It was so helpful to be able to talk to him, ask questions, and get his answers right there.
I’ve gone through other courses, but this was very good, very thorough. It’s the best law course I’ve seen so far.
